You may need a heavier conditioner and more styling product. You'll have to work with the styling product a while before getting the right amount. If your hair is dry, use a styling product that doesn't contain any alcohol. I like using Joico mousse. I think it's called JOI Whip (grayish-blue container).

use VO5 smoothing souffle

it works for me.

Since straitening it won't work try a perm or a relaxer.

lol tht SAME axact thing happened to me. idk what to do either. i hav ben trying different shampoos and conditioners and some brands reduce friz and poofiness more than others.

well, i have hair like that too. i straighten it but before i do ill like spray this stuff in it that protects my hair from heat. the one i have is like called turn up the heat or something but its in a orange bottle. theres lots of kinds though

you could wash it with Dove Intense Hair Damage. you could wash it with helpful shampoos and start buying grease and conditioners with cholesterol and hair products that say Anti-damage. and the best thing you can do is stay AWAY from heat, perms and blow-driers. what you need to do is get treatment products and brush it back into a ponytail.

I have thick, coarse wavy hair that is shoulder length and also layered. I use Pantene products (shampoo and conditioner). Then I blow dry my hair OR sleep on it wet at night. But to tame the poof I use hot rollers. The hot rollers smooth my hair and take out all the frizz.

I will also take a little bit of conditioner (about a pea size drop) and rub it in my hands and after I take my curlers out I work it thru my hair. Use can also use a tiny bit of hand lotion. This does wonders in taming the frizz.

try starting all over again. just take a shower let your hair dry and try straightning it again.

you could try olive oil, or melted butter. a salon conditioner is optimum. try to pinpoint how the haircut made your hair frizz... a dull razor? too much on the texturizing shears? if it was a dull razor it may take a few trims to completely return smooth. find a stylist you trust and ask to just have your ends dusted... good luckl!

try a perm

Honey, I also have the same hair dilemmas as you. Don't worry. I have a solution that will work with no damaging to your hair at all. I tried it and I am very happy with my hair. Trust me. It works.

1. First add homemade grapefruit/lemon juice to your hair and also add 1/3 cup of milk.

2. Wait 2-3 minutes

3. After 2-3 minutes, go to the shower and shampoo and condition your hair with the shampoo and conditioner you normally use but I always recommend garnier shampoo/conditioner for dry and frizzy hair. But you can also use other shampoo/conditioners of your choice :)

4. When you come out of the shower pat dry your hair very gently, keeping hair untangled and straight in wet condition.

5. Bring all of your hair in front of your face. Then follow the comb (with your dryer) and blow dry all parts of your hair at once as you straighten each parts of your hair with the fork comb(make sure you keep the dryer moving)

6. Work your way up all parts of your hair until all hair is dried and straightened.

7. And voila! your done.

After leave your hair the way it is(leave it open) - it may be a bit frizzy after drying it, so after like, 30 minutes tie your hair back into a ponytail and take the ponytail out after 15 minutes and bam! no frizz now! you hair is beautiful, smooth %26amp; refrshingly silky!

To add a little curl for a finished look, take your brush and pull the ends taut. Finish your styling with a blast of cool air.

Warning: Don't use the blowdryer every day. It may ruin your hair. Use it sometimes. Instead of using a blow dryer all the time, use a fan with full speed.

Don't perm your hair or add hair products to your hair.

Hope this helps :] :]
