I want emo hair... help??

i'm tired of people staying to one kind of look

i want to try something new so i've decided that i want to have more of an emo look

[but nothing extremely drastic]

my hair is darkdark brown and it is a little longer than my shoulders.. and i want to bleach the bottom layer of it

*what kind of bleach should i use?

and i want more of a choppy hair cut... right now i have jagged bangs and alot of layers throught out my hair

but its still not what i want

*should i use some type of gel to spike my top layers??

* how should my bangs be?? like the length?
