Hey do putting layers in your hair make your hair look thicker or thinner? i have really thin hair and i only want layers if they make my hair look thicker.

it makes your hair look thicker if it's done right, but it can also make your hair look thinner. tell your stylist you want to add layers to thicken your hair up, and she'll know what to do, in my case i have to thin my hair out!!

I think it makes them look thinner. But like my hair it is so thick that i couldn't have layers because it weighs my hair down. I think layers are pretty for thin hair. You should just do it its not like it wont grow back!

I did the same thing with my hair last year
I loved it at the start but then i got sick of it and wanted to grow it out
my hair is still growing now
so if your going to cut it, make sure you really want it
cos the thing about shorter layers is there not very versatile.
