Take the picture sometimes describing a style is not good enough and in the salon so much might be going on that the stylist might loose concentration and miss the details that you telling her so take the picture she will let you know whether it is layered or not she should be able to if she is your stylist!

best bet is print out the most descriptive picture of what you really want. show the stylist so they know by the picture and not by your explanation, if you dont think they are capable or if they are hesitant maybe you sould pick another place. good luck!
