You need to go to a good stylist and let them know what you've been doing. They should be able to cut it to get a good bit of the dead ends out and see if the salon offers a deep conditioning treatment (I get them at Hair Cuttery and they're only $11). Stop dying it so much, or if you're going to dye it, get it professionally done. The dye kits from the drugstore will wreck your hair and turn it to straw. Also, buy some good cream conditioner that will keep your hair moisturized. Stay away from conditioners that list steryl alcohol or ammonium as a main ingredient. These tend to make your hair shed faster and they make your hair feel like hay after awhile. Try for conditioners that list cetyl or ceteryl alcoholic and behentrimonium as an ingredient, as it is much less damaging to the hair. Redken ALL SOFT Heavy Crem conditioner would be great for you to start off with. Hope this helps;good luck!

Major trim. Stop straightening and dying it. Go natural babe!

Also: Try coconut oil!! It totally works. Just rub it in, set it for a few hours (maybe 2 -3), rinse, THEN condition. You do not need to shampoo. This improves shine, reduces white hair, and can really improve the volume of your hair. You can buy one at any local Indian store. Be sure to rinse before you condition or else the smell will stay! Good luck! Post in a few months about your progress!

I agree with the other answer, trim your hair to get the split ends off. Then simply stop dying. Try a moisturizing hair cream, like Sunsilk 24/7 Moisturizing Cream (Pink Bottle) or Pantene Pro-V Silkening Cream. Don't straighten, just go natural!

condition it like theres no tomorrow. Hold off on dying it until it grows out or looks and feels healthier. i used to die my hair once a month for 4 years without ever taking a break: get Dove intense care conditioner and shampoo for severly damaged hair. It makes a HUGE difference. you can get it at drug stores, its not even expensive.

You will probably have to get you ends clipped if they are fried because no matter what, they won't even out if they are dry and brittle.

Once you clip them, start using a good moisturizing cream. I love Elasta QP products and swear buy them b/c they work very well with my hair, but I also like to use Frizz ease for my ends b/c my hair is very curly, and that might help out with the dryness for your hair, but I am not sure.

i have 32' hair and i color my hair like every two or three weeks (just like you ;) i use conditioner, put it especially on ends of your hair . apply hair serum before you straighten your hair and just do it every other day. Or use this Nexxus Anti frizz %26amp; shine makes your hair healthy too i hope it helps. ;)

'Dead' hair can not be repaired. If you want the ends healthy, you'll have to trim them.

Then start using a good product. No need to go too pricey, but nothing cheap either. Use a light polishing serum. Keep's hair shiney, moisturized and healthy.

Get a trim and a professional hair mask. Or if you don't want to pay a lot of money for the mask, V05 has a good range of conditioning masks and treatments for dry hair.

well first you should get a trim but if you don't want to do that you can put a hair protector on before you straighten it and then also I think herbal essences makes a product for dead ends and it helps them go away and helps keep from getting more of them. you should deep condition once to three times a week (untill they go away and then only once) and should use a moisterizing shampoo and conditioner. also wash your hair with lotion once a week (just add some into your shampoo) it helps, really

Ok, here is the scoop... first.. get a trim.. if you can.. all that is damaged on the ends... then condition.. id say 2 times a week with a deep conditioner..I love back to basics Raspberry almond... or you could use redken... I can't remember the name of it.. but it is a cream treatment.. it comes in packets in a box.....then.. invest in some potion 9 by sabastion.. it is a leave in . It will give a little bit of styling hold (mostly to keep your hair from getting frizzy) plus its a daily leave in treatment! It's awsome!!! in a couple weeks you will be good to go.. if you keep up with the Back to Basics and the Potion 9.. you will be pretty set. I am a color Junkie myself..;)

I prevent my hair from drying out completely by using Redken Align 12 ultra-straight balm in it before I blow-dry it. Just use a quarter size and use your hands to get it throughout your hair, but focus on the ends of your hair since like you said, that's where most damage is. : P There are other products like it, but this is the best one I've ever used. :D Hope I helped lol.
