Wuts the difference bettween layering and thining your hair?
Thinning will take out alot of the bulk of your hair, layers will add more movement.

Not they aren't the same thing
Layering cuts your hair in all different lengths...its a style...the outside hair shorter. And thinning takes out hairs from your head to not make your hair as thinck.
Thinning curly/wavy hair looks great! BUt i wouldn't layer it unless you straighten your hair sometimes or have long loose curls

Layering your hair means you cut it at different lengths all over your head, but the overall thickness stays the same. The only reason it feels lighter on your scalp is because there are some strands that aren't as long...so when you don't have as much hair, obviously it's going to feel a little thinner.
Thinning your hair doesn't involve actual cutting, and all your hair can be the same length. They twist your strands and then take some special scissors that take out the bulk of your hair.
And yes, you can thin your hair when it's wavy. I know this 'cause I have wavy hair, too. =) I'm not sure about curly hair, but I would assume it would be fine. If you're really skeptical about it, though, ask your beautician! What better person to ask a hair question to than one who has gone to school for it? =)
