Short curly hair?

i want to get a hair cut but i have two questions... is it a good idea to layer REALLY curly hair? and do people have suggestions for how to keep short curly hair from puffing out too much? because when its long the weight keeps it down but when its shorter... my hair is really tightly curly.

I just cut my hair in short layers on Saturday. Humidity is definitely not going to e yur friend if you get short layers. Your hair will poof. It also depends if you're going to keep yur hair curly or straighten it. You can put straightening moouse on it to keep it down and not poofing out.

If you don't like it really curly, I would suggest not getting it layered.

i have naturally REALLY curly hair, and to layer it is okay, but the pieces in the front, since they are shorter, reach my shoulders and the rest is behind my back, he shorter pieces look like he hair length, but its not and that annoys me..go for it if you want, it'll grow back...tip***

try cutting a little at a time, go for like 2 inch off then maybe another 2 if ur not liking the length, stop cutting it and let it grow back

gurl i got the same problem but i straighten my hair every day! and its in layers i suggest u do that.

I have layers in my hair as I am growing it our from a very short style. The problem I am finding is that the front section curls up to be level with my eyebrows and the rest sits at around chin length which means I can't tie it back as I have two "curtains" that sit at the front and looks stupid, I have been growing my hair for a year now and it just never seems to get any longer!!
