Basically, I need tips on how to care for my curly hair. It's dry and forms that pyramid shape (it's flat at the top then goes poof at the bottom.) I use Pantene Pro-V Conditioner and I rarely use shampoo.
I also need some pictures of how a layered haircut looks on curly hair. I'm thinking about getting a cut, and I need to do some major treatment on my hair this summer.
Thanks!
Curly Hair.?
You need a good haircut!! I have thick curly hair, and I do NOT mess around when getting a good haircut. Just ask for layers all around, but make sure your top layer isn't too short, or else it'll "boing" up more than the rest of your head (I've had that happen and it's not pretty!)
You really should use shampoo!! You shouldn't wash your hair every day, and it's good that you use conditioner. I use Pantene's deep conditioning treatment once a week. I also try to let mine air dry -- I never blowdry it! I'll put in some mousse, and then touch it up with some gel, but not too much so that it gets crunchy.
Try Aussie Leave in Conditioner mousse - it's great! especially in the summer.
and I'll use either Pantene or TreSemme gel.
Good Luck!
Curly Hair.?
Use some shampoo. it gets rid of those oils. and will make your hair even atleast. it's the oil that holds it down at t he top. thats the only advice i can offer. sorry.
Curly Hair.?
use mousse that should help alot. remeber to apply when it is still damp though, otherwise it will give you that oily look.for the hair cuts i don't know what to tell you, that is something you might need to search for, only you know what cut you want.
hope it helps.....
Curly Hair.?
Thats gross. Maybe you wouldnt have hair problems if you WASHED IT!!!!!!!!!!
Curly Hair.?
You might want to get it cut short, really short, especially if you have an oval shape face, it would look really cute. If you want to keep it long, have the 3-6" of the ends layered so you don't get that pyramid look.
BTW my daughter has curly hair and used to iron it with the iron, the clothes iron, crazy girl. I told her to wear it curly for years, 18 years later she wore it curly and all the guys at her work were telling her how "hot" her curly hair is. Not that she didn't have tons of guys telling her she was hot anyway! Silly girls.
Curly Hair.?
make sure you use shampoo, it is a cleansar, not a drying agent, I would suggest sunsilk or loareal vive pro, they are both great, especially for dry hair, I would stay away from pantene, I can't remember why but my hair dresser told me not to use it. Try to avoid washing daily, wash like every other day, and use creams, and avoid heated products as much as possible
Curly Hair.?
I got curly hair too, I straighten it when it's cool outside. In the summer I use VIVE shampoo and conditioner and deep condition it. To style my hair i use Pink Moisturizer hairdress followed by La Bella hair gel
Oh and get your ends clipped too, it helps A LOT

The trick to dealing with curly hair is to get a good haricut with someone who knows how to cut curly hair. Its the hairstyle that cause the triangle. When you're getting the haircut, watch the stylist style your hair and ask them questions. This is how I learned to deal with my curly hair. The can give you tips specific to your hair. Ask them to recommend products that aren't salon products to save money. I really recommend a long-layered hair cut. I've been told by everyone whose cut my hair that it is the haircut for curly hair.
Curly hair should be washed every other day, but if you have shorter hair it's ok to wash it everyday.
Use Frizz-Ease and gel. Also, if it's really out of control, use liquid hairspray (but, not too much or it'll get the "crunchy" effect).
