I'm a boy and i don't want to use straightener because it will rune my hair :(
also when i layer it its still poofy :/
I have really poofy and thick hair is there a way to make it wavy and thin?
I'm kinda scared that you are a guy and care that much about your hair. But anyway, go ahead and straighten it, my hair is exactly the same way and it doesn't damage my hair. Just make sure you get a good straightener.

nooo dude
i am a guy and i have wavy hair too.
its not so much poofy but pretty wavy at the ends.
you SHOULD straigten it, it will make it straigter, softer, smoother, and thinner.
just make sure before you straigten it you use a protection like a serum to prevent it from drying out.
atleast try it.
with a straitening iron.

I have heat protected spray i put on before i straighten my hair. It keeps moisture in and it doesn't fry.You can get it at target, cvs, wal mart. I recommend sally's ,but where ever is most convenient.

Next time you go to the salon (yes salon, no supercuts) tell them you want to thin out your hair. Also make sure you use special moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Most puffiness comes from your hair being dry. Use a leave in conditioner and blow dry it with a round brush starting at the roots and slowly pulling downward. That should help some. Hope it works and remember it is beauty on the inside that counts :D

You sound like my boyfriend. :)
He uses a girl moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. And he gets his hair cut and thinned every month or so. You could also try a leave in conditioner.
