I have short, layered hair, what should I do for a formal dance?

I'm not wearing a dress but black pants and a dress top. Its a halter top and its gold. What would look good with that? What can I do?

theres a series of things that you can do like straighten it and dye it a nice pretty color or you could just put on a head band or somthing

try using a product to make your hair have volume. then flat iron your hair. then take certain sections of hair and crimp them. hairspray afterwards. i had short hair and this style worked great for me, even at dances.
